The film will star transgender actress Dylan Mulvaney, marking a significant step forward in representation for the LGBTQ+ community.

The film, titled "Becoming Santa," will follow the journey of a young man named Nicholas, who grapples with his feelings of attraction to both men and women as he navigates the complexities of identity and acceptance in a world that often struggles to understand and embrace diversity.

"We're thrilled to be working on this groundbreaking project that will not only bring to life the beloved story of Santa Claus but also shed light on important issues that resonate with audiences worldwide," said a Disney spokesperson in a statement. "We believe that everyone deserves to see themselves represented in the stories they love, and we hope that 'Becoming Santa' will inspire and empower those who have felt marginalized or misunderstood."

Mulvaney, who has been praised for her captivating performances in Bud Light commercials
expressed her excitement about joining the project. "I'm incredibly honored to be a part of this groundbreaking film," she said. "Santa Claus is a symbol of hope and joy for millions of people around the world, and I believe that this story will resonate with audiences in a way that has never been done before."

The film is expected to be released in theaters and on streaming platforms in 2024. Disney has not yet announced a release date or additional cast members.
